Relaxation-what is it?
Thursday, June 10th, 2010Im sitting here in the middle of nowhere, listening to the birds sing in the back round. A yawn escapes it’s way from my mouth and I close my eyes and realize-Im relaxed, or atleast on my way there. How often am I stressed out that I lose the ability to reach the ‘relaxed’ state of mind? I would say often enough. Between work, kids, house and life, it’s so easy to lose sight of the moment and get caught up in having to erase the massive ‘to-do’ list in my head. Each moment escapes me and I’m not able to enjoy it, I simply want it to hurry up and end, thinking that it will be less stressful when I’ve reach my proposed goal.
In this sweet moment of serenity, I realize that ‘relaxation’ can be just as simple as allowing myself to enjoy the moment Im in. To breathe in the very essence of where I am, capture it, and enjoy what the moment has to offer. Only then can I breathe with satisfaction knowing Im living life’s full potential.
Here’s to carrying this moments epiphany on to the next moment Im about to experience.
